Mentorship Program
The CHIME Mentorship Program aims to expand and diversify the scientific workforce conducting innovative and effective research on health for all during pregnancy and postpartum.
Core activities offered through the Mentorship Program include mentorship of CHIME Scholars and a Summer Research Learning Series: Foundations of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, Implementation Science, and Community-Based Participatory Research. CHIME Scholars
This competitive fellowship provides postdoctoral fellows and early-stage investigators with training in patient-centered outcomes research, implementation science, and community-based participatory research to advance maternal health equity. Guided by a team of interdisciplinary scientists, CHIME Scholars participate in a variety of learning opportunities and complete a pilot research project related to maternal health equity.

Nitya Rajeshuni, MD, MS, is a clinical instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University and serves as faculty with the Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE), the Center for Innovation in Global Health (CIGH), and the Maternal Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI). Her work centers on advancing health equity among racial and ethnic minorities, with a particular focus on Asian populations. Her research explores health disparities, access to care, and the implementation and evaluation of public health and digital health solutions in the U.S. and low-and-middle-income countries.
Summer Research Learning Series: Foundations of Patient-Centered Outcomes Research, Implementation Science, and Community-Based Participatory Research
This annual 6-week research learning series aims to equip learners with foundational skills in patient-centered outcomes research, implementation science, and community-based participatory research through asynchronous learning and participation in interactive virtual sessions with subject matter experts. Registration will open in the spring of 2027.
